Don't want my green blade

You should be able to dye the powder coat black if you desire. I was able to get an orange finish on my tan Izula by doing the Rit dye trick. Black would turn out fine I believe. And if it doesn't work you can still strip it and have it redone professionally.

G10 knives only have green blades. the only orange G10/black blades were the RP knife and the bladeforums junglas.

Gundude is correct. When you ordered it, wasn't there a pic of a green blade?

One thing I have noticed (and any newcomers might want to keep an eye on this) is that people like to tinker and all the time on the exchange you will see a blade/scale/sheath combo that was never sold. Remember, Rowen fits the scales to each blade so when there is a green blade with grey micarta scales and a coyote sheath, it didn’t come that way. Someone took their favorite parts and swapped them back and forth and never returned it to the factory before they sold it. This can cause scales that don’t fit that well, etc.

What I don’t like about that is someone can get the assumption that ESEE doesn’t fit their handle scales very well, when in reality it was someone swapping parts around. Heck it was just a couple weeks ago when a member had an issue with his sheath and it turned out it was an ESEE-4 in a Bravo-1 sheath (no offense to that member meant, just stating what happened)! The problem with ESEE blades on the exchange is they usually never last long enough for you to do your research.

Black blade with orange G10 would sell like hotcakes Jeff.

I'm just saying. ;)

Get some paint stripper from your local hardware store and take the green off of it if you don't like the color. From there let it ugly up with a natural patina.

Beat me to it. That's where I was gonna go. I am thinking about switching my handles around...I think the 3 and 4 are the same handle with different screws...are they not?

Anyway, I am going to strip one just gotta figure out which one. I like all the colors and have all the colors. If I do strip one I'll probably put one of the canvas micarta handles on it for a maximum traditional look. Maybe an orange and black ESEE-3MIL??? How does that grab you? I like how my orange ESEE-3 looks in the black sheath and black Molle back...add in the black blade and voila.
