Don't get me wrong, I've tried to contact him. JD Smith even told me to drop his name in trying to get a shop tour, no luck. He used to come to the local knife collectors club meetings, but hasn't been to one since I started making knives. I understand he's a very busy man, and I really don't want to just drop in uninvited. Other local makers have told me it took several months to get an e-mail reply and some parts of his webpage haven't been updated since 1998.

If anybody knows him, I'd love to meet him.

The best place to get hold of Howard is on Don Foggs website..Hes there pretty often. Its a site more dedicated to bladesmithing/forging/patternwelding than to just knifemaking..
