Don't you just love it when....

aaronjayl, I'm surprised you don't see more. We're starting get them again in northern New York. I haven't actually seen one yet, but others have and photographed them, my trapper friend says he's seen tracks.

My wife and I used to go jeeping on logging trails in the Allagash Wilderness area. I'm trying to remember the name of the big river there.

Thats what everyone thinks, being Maine and all. After I read your post, I took a survey of a few coworkers even and out of 8 people, none have seen a moose in our area in the past year and only one black bear sighting. The main things around our area are deer and turkeys. Wild turkeys are EVERYWHERE. I see at least 3 or 4 flocks a week. For the most part, moose and deer a further North unfortunately.
