During the week I am extremely bored at school, so this weekend I decided to cut out some knife blanks and bring them back to school with me. I figured I might as well do some hand sanding while watching tv instead of eating or sitting on my computer. I have four different blanks to work on and I have one handle to finish sanding. Three of the blanks are 1095 and one is 1084. I have some pictures of the blanks in their current rough ground state and I will update periodically with progress pictures.

The second one from the bottom is the handle I'm finishing up. I guess I would call it a pukko. The wood is acacia.

Thanks for looking!

Not sure where you find the time in college to work on knives lol, when I was in college it was hit the books, writing papers, and working all the time. There was not much time left over for social life let alone knife making. But if you got the time, why not! I can't think of a better way to spend your down time.

The rough blades look good, keep up the good work (in school and with the knives)! All the best...................

I have a lot more down time than I expected. I guess that is because I'm a geology major and not an engineer.

I thought when you are in college, 50% of your time went to chasing women and doing keg stands ;0)

Yeah, what John said lol :D

God what I wouldn't give to be back in college, especially the way these girls be throwin the cat around haha
