This is a fixed blade custom knife crafted by knifemaker David Schott. It is entirely designed, ground, assembled and finished by hand in Salem, Ma.
This knife blade features a distinct hamon with a selectively buffed hardened section. It has been brought out through multiple etches in ferric chloride. The wood on this knife is amazing, as shown in the closeup pictures below. It is Ringed Gidgee, a wood from Australia that is nearly impossible to acquire. It has amazing characteristics similar to Cat's Eye, changing and shifting in different light and at different angles. It truely must be seen to be appreciated! This knife is solid and feels great in the hand due to the double nickel silver bolsters and sculpted finger hold. This knife is sharp enough to shave ink off a business card without cutting through.
I offer lifetime sharpening and clean-up should you ever need it. Simply ship the knife to me and I will return it in as close to original condition as possible. I will include a custom made leather pouch sheath or can arrange a custom sheath with tooling by world class sheathmaker Paul Long for an additional cost.
