BOTH!!!!:D

GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!

Me? I'm getting 3....maybe 4....crap! I can only afford 2!!!!!! Arrrghhh...but which 2???

Satin all the way. Had I my druthers, all of my Infi would be satin. Had some doublecut once, traded it off for satin.

Satin looks awesome when it's all scratched up! I'm developing quite a scratch finish on my OJ warden, the more I beat on it- the better it looks!

Satin for sure...

but if it's a hundred bucks less, double cut is pretty nie too!

Double Cut or Satin???

Error: Does not compute...

Auto-correction:

Double Cut and Satin!

It's split pretty much down the middle so far...

DC - 9
Satin - 8
Both - 6

I'm hoping there's an LE Satin offering this weekend at .312" and then a HOG offering with a Double Cut MOASH1 .345" !!!

That's what I'll be dreaming about tonite anyway :)

Since my BATAC SE I love DC. And the best part is that when I mess the coating up enough we're goingt to satin. :D

DC is WAY BETTER than coated...... I hate coated. :barf: ....... I would never buy coated except for being a HUGE difference in price less than satin.

But, SATIN is still EASILY my favorite.

......... now if only it didn't cost $100 - $300 premium to get a SATIN finished Busse. :grumpy: :thumbdn:

I can't personally understand or appreciate how satin costs such a premium when many/most "custom" from the U.S. knife makers can provide a whole completed knife for the cost of just the upcharge for satin with Busse.

It is very frustrating to me to pay $200 - $300 for a ugly coated blade and then have to spend a LOT of time and effort to re-make the knife with a satin finish instead of being able to just buy it with a satin finish at a reasonable price.

Satin finished blades shouldn't cost more than about $20 - $40 more than CG considering what is involved if done at the factory. It is WAY easier for a knife company to do this in production vs. the hassles MANY of us who go through to strip and finish CG's afterwards.

If it is a user, I would pick satin due to your ability to restore the finish. If it is a safe queen, I prefer the dc look on a blade. I just dont have the ability to restore the dc once it is has been scratched. I also think the evidence of use shows up more quickly on dc.
