Well, double cut is very close to satin, it's not like the coated blades. With the coated blades, you have to take strip off the coating and lots of sanding is required to take out the dimples. I just used 2000 grit to take the double coating off and certain parts, I did 1500 grit then the 2000 grit. Hand sanded where you do the criss cross pattern. Then you can lightly buff it and it's that simple.
This is the perfect example of why I like the double cut blades, because I can convert or have someone covert to satin without any major problems. It takes a bit of time but I could see myself doing these to a bunch of my blades and keeping them all
