double edge dagger?

The trade sub-forum, plenty of people like SOg knives, you may be able to work out a respectable agreement with another person there and get something you like in trade for your SOG.

I suppose you could stab stuff with it. Like crabs or something.

Maybe open letters?

Or you could kill enemy sentries. Or spies.

i have a sog dagger what is it good for. i find no good use for it. any advice?.
While I suppose you could cut a sandwich with it, or open a box, double-edge daggers are really intended as killing tools. There are much better choices for EDC or general utility use, and in many places they are illegal to carry, so daggers are pretty much just collectables for most of us.

Well, since you already have it, why not take a cue from the native Americans? Thin the edge on one side for fine work, increase the edge angle on the other side for rough work. That's if you can't sell it or trade it and grow tired of fondling it. ???

I agree on the collectable aspect of daggers now days. And realistically they don't serve a lot of purpose these days with high quality steel available.

As Silverfoxknows alluded to, I have seen a few historical references to double edge daggers being used as every day tools. When knives didn't hold an edge as well, having the extra edge could save time dressing game, or serving a dual purpose, etc.

sorry frank its a pentagon, serrates on one side plain edge on the other.

I've got a mini-pentagon "boot knife" which is also the double edged daggar. I don't really carry it much, really just leave it on my desk at work for opening boxes and mail.

I also have a larger dagger that I keep near my bed for any "home defense" issues. :D

daggers are weapons best left in the hands of those who understand it's brutal message.
the less well versed would see it serve as a neat wall hanger, conversation piece.
daggers always make great gift for couch commandos.
but most of all, would be appreciated on e-bay.
