Double ground Kraiken w/ gorgeous Elephant leather

Ahhhhhhhh, that makes sense. Does that sheath style tend to put some small abrasion marks on the blades? I can see how that could make the finish get uneven or show wear spots going in and out of the sheath... Thanks for the info, Ben.

Its a friction fit. Unlike kydex where the friction/retention should be on the handle not the blade, these are on the blade.
It doesn't scuff the machine finish, but oxides like on damascus or on an acid washed blade are not very scratch resistant.

Phill's blades were something like a buffed 40grit. Mine are finer, but still a machine finish which works awesome on a performance oriented blade like these.

I have found this style of blade to be very easy to care for

Phills were of a lower grit finish and than buffed

Ben I hope you don't mind me posting one

It was very easy finish to touch up

You could literally just carefully sand out blemishes and lightly buff and as good as new :)

I've been carrying this style blade for 30 years

The flatness of the sheath and the excellent utility of ease of carry makes this an incredible edc

Ben is imho the heir apparent to this genre and doing it with his own different flair that sure is a winner

Great stuff Ben

Thanks very much for that information. The different styles of blades as well as sheaths are always interesting. Seeing how these work in tandem is that much more impressive in your design and execution.
