Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted much for sale as of late. Been very busy with orders and show knives. I just wrapped up a show this weekend and this was the one kwaiken that made it out alive. : )
Most of these I build are chisel ground, so this is a rarer one one for me. The handle has a nice and tight Tsuka Ito with a hemp cord under wrap. It is epoxy soaked so it is rock solid, durable and yet has a natural look. Spine thickness is right at .265" so it is a stout knife. I grind these down to a near zero edge before giving it a micro bevel. This one is shaving sharp and has a scary point. Don't let the shiny finish fool you, this is a hard use knife!!
The sheath is aluminum in the Hartsfield style. It has kevlar lining and some gorgeous bison hide on the outside. This sheath style is awesome for everyday carry. It moves with your body when you move, this is especially nice if you are sitting or in a car. The sageo acts as a static cord, and you also have the option of using the eyelets for other mounting options.
Here is a video Joe P. did on my kraiken (slightly different model) that highlights the benefits of this style sheath.
