Spark, I think that if I hit my browsers back button after I've submitted the new topic and return to the confirmation page the post is doubled. I'll try it here.

I went back with the back button and then forward with the forward button and it automatically doubled the topic. I've seen where people think that they are double clicking the submit button but IMHO this may not be the case. Explorer 4.01 is causing the doubling effect with its navigation buttons.

Well yeah, if you hit the back button after a post you are causing a double post, since you are resubmitting your form information.

Fortunately, you can delete your own posts by clicking on the "edit" icon (the one at the top of your post, far right), and choosing to delete it.

So, if you make a double post, you can clean it up yourself as well.

Hopefully people will start being self policing about this... since there is no excuse now not to get rid of your own mistakes.

I thought these guys were trying to accelerate their way to senior member status

Then I saw some Senior Members with double posts. Another way is to hit Esc key after clicking on submit reply. I've done this twice now after seeing a gross error and wanting to correct it before it's posted. I ended up with double posts.
