Double sided burr? Shaving sharp?

OK, I am a confused person right now. I sharpened my cara cara(30* back bevel, 40* final) and its shaving sharp but when I run my nail down the bevel I feel a huge burr. On both sides. I've run it lightly down my "stones" like I normally do and it never goes away. Yet the knife is as sharp as any I have and the edge is maintaining its sharpness after a few cut tests. Wtf is going on?

...it could be and it is! After I read ur post I ran it a few times at an in between angle and it came right off... This foolish feeling may last a bit tho lol. Thanks!
 
That's ok...just drink some of whatever your camera's drinking. Foolishness should be gone in no time.
 
i would have guessed it was a wire burr......those can be a real pain to remove sometimes depending on the steel, not so much on 8cr13mov though. on vg10...a pita, imho.

since answered already though, i would have guessed wrong.
