Looks to me like the ASH2 is slightly thinner, and a different handle (beyond the obvious guard)

I was going to pass on the D guard, but think I'm in for the double talon. Thinner blade stock and an inch shorter than the ASHBM makes it different enough to justify...considering the addiction.
