Double thick blocks, what size do you like?

Hey guys. I milled up a bunch of high figure walnut today and ill be starting on instrument grade mango tomorrow.

What i was wondering was if there is any interest in double thick pieces. I can cut mango 1 × 2 × 6 no issues, but i thought i might make 2.25 × 2 x 6 blocks as well.

Is that something that would be interesting?

I don't understand a need for thicker blocks. No handle out of my show has ever been thicker than 1 inch. I have been having a time trying to get 2 inch + wide blocks though for really angled bowie handles.

Yeah i think 1.25 may be the widest one would go. But as mentioned finding 2in wide is more difficult.
