This is a great piece from Doug Ponzio and Prarie Forge. His work in Pattern Damascus is very well known and this is one of his best and largest works.
The blade is .25" thick and 1.75" wide. Perfect grind lines all the way around. 15.5" overall with a 9.5" blade, 1" ricasso and a 4" false grind on the fancy file-worked spine. Nickel Silver bolsters and pommel cap, red and white spacers and a gorgeous contoured oosic handle. The dark red- tanned leather belt sheath is very robust and well made. It's a beautiful mint bowie that would be at home in a period collection, presentation or in the field. Great feel and balance. Paid 350, just want 300 to be fair. please email chrisfaber77@gmail.com
