Doug Ritter arrived!!!

Gravgirt, you like the sheath? Thanks for the photo, btw.

Also, what do you guys think of the "Personal Balance" system? Do you think it gimmicky?

Flexxx, Doug posted up a micarta pic a while back.

I like the look of the sheath but my first thought is that I miss the "click" that I hear with the BK2

Different animals. One is a molded sheath, the other a straight liner in a nylon sheath.
If you're brave, you might be able to mold that liner with some heat, but my liner appears to be glued in pretty well.

BTW my knife is insanely sharp and has a great grind all around.

The sheath reminds me of the BK9 sheath. That does look sweet with the micarta.

Couldn't wait to get to the mailbox! I got #21. Feels great in hand and is actually lighter than I thought it would be, balance feels nice too. I will play with the handle weights but it seems perfect as is. Thanks to Becker, Ritter and Rowen, you guys did awesome on this knife and the sheath turned out great too.

#018 arrived earlier today. Very nice and the balance is great as is; no need to mess with the weights.

I requested #67, my number, but got 63. Anyone here have 67 who will trade? I'll make it worth your while. I ordered and paid 2 months ago and hoped I'd get my number but realize they are busy.....kind of a let-down for such a SWEET KNIFE!!!!

It is really awesome, just wish I got my number. I originally paid via paypal and added a hest to the order. They charged again when they shipped 63. I think they didn't look at my whole order with extra knife and number request and just grabbed one, billed me and shipped it. I called and got the charge taken away and they are shipping out the HEST so it's all good.

Now hopefully someone here sees this and wants to take me up.....63 is a lower number!

Did anyone else realize the scales are wider than the 2 or the 7 and that they seem to be different texture?

I got #12 ad #14 today in the mail. Sweet blade. Lighter then i expected. Alot thinner then my ESEE 5. YES I SAID ESEE 5 :) :) :)
I just realized the dropped the ESEE forum last night. Been gone for while with work and look what happens. ugh. Good thing I have a couple of becker blades. Otherwise no reason to come back to BF.

Ok to a serious point / question. Be it ESEE or my Becker blades, the spine is always somewhat rounded. Especially with the coating. Would any one prefer for the spine to kept sharp for use on a Ferro rod, or do you just feel comfortable using the edge in a non emergency situation ? :) I like this ritter blade much. But being that his trend is into survival mode, I think personally the spine should have been kept sharp. Otherwise super sweet blade. The edge grind is flawless. I wish benchmade could take a point in lesson. 6 inch blade and flawless grind. you hear that benchmade :)

they're Camillus generation Grivory scales. the real deal. the kind you'd get if you bought older skool. KaBar used what they had until they ran out afaik, and have their own style now, that's a little more slim.

but well, i knew that part :) dunno if it was advertised. don't like them? swap them out. put micarta on. standbard Becker hole pattern.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. Please excuse me if I don't respond promptly to posts over the rest of the week. I am leaving zero-too-early tomorrow to meet up with Ethan and then attend Practice What You Preach in North Carolina. I will have to escape daily to deal with some urgent ongoing Knife Rights stuff, but don't know how good a net connection I will have. Thanks again for all the support.
