I had a question about the " feel" To me they are smoother than the coated solid colored version with 14C28N ss ,which have a very nice stippled texture . These are smooth just like the original black steel handled version , but a softer feel. Another way I can try to describe them is ,porcelain - like & satin - y . I do believe the handles are ss and the art coatings are baked on somehow . I'd love to see that process . Cognet claims they are durable ,I carry them in a slip case . I realize the case they come in is " cheesy" but they are functional
