Douk Douk - Where to get pouch and is it carbon steel or stainless steel

So I just purchased my first Douk Douk, and I am pretty sure it is carbon steel but don't have it yet - as with the Otter Messer K55K I want both a carbon steel and stainless steel version that they offer

My question is, which ones are for sure only stainless? I thought the colored ones with pouches were stainless based off what I looked around for, but on amazon they say carbon steel on EVERY douk douk listing, where as on some more specific sites I get an answer of both. Probably will buy from specific seller so I know what I am getting but I was wondering if there was a way to tell from markings or anything?


Also I am having a hard time finding JUST a pouch or pouch with the steel rod for the douk douk I ordered - do they not sell them separately?

Stainless steel version has number punched on the blade, carbon only decorative pattern. Also if you cut some vegetables or fruits you will know soon because patina.

IMHO better carry option is kydex, but you need to do it yourself or find someone in your area.

That's just a general rule for all Douk Douk knives? I couldn't find that information anywhere, thank you very much.

I've been meaning to get into kydex I just have not bothered to get/build a press
