I go along with French Kiss on this. It's not a good idea to neglect knives anyway. Keep them clean, all of them, and high carbon will last just like stainless -- only with the patina that forms it will look better! The Douk-Douks have polished blades, which helps in cleaning them and resisting corrosion.
