This past Monday was the first opening day for my son. We had a blast and he was a great retriever. My wife prepares the breasts with cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon. Delicious!

Awesome pics! I still have a little over 2 weeks to wait before I can be doing that. My bird boy is in college now so I will be without that luxury but he seems to magically appear when they come off the grill.

It's funny how that always seems to happen ;)

Awesome haul right there, and good for you, having your boy out there.
I can't wait for my middle daughter to go with me, maybe next season. I have to take the wife first, or she might worry to much...let her see that it can be a fun and safe activity. Plus, it can't hurt to have the wife's tags with mine....LOL. Double trouble.

Sounds like that college education isn't going to waste..smart boy showing up for the food!!!

Had a good shoot opening morning but the afternoon was a real bust. My lab did a good job and picked up every bird that I shot and the new Wingmaster may just become my all around bird gun after how well I shot it. 29 shells for 15 birds. Probably the best I've done in a while though I often use a 16 gauge or 20 gauge 870 on opening day. All in all I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, too bad my favorite time doesn't come until December.

I was just considering giving the mojo a try this season. Thanks for the report.

Yes sir the dive were litterly landing on and around the mojos I wish I had some videos to prove it I had two out where I was sitting and put them down in the lower part of an old dried up pond I had them on the damn and they would fly right past them, but once I moved them to the lower spot they were landing with them!

The mojo's are awesome and will bring in a few extra birds into range. I run two of them spaced 35 steps out them another 12 steps. This creates a good visual for my effective range.

Supposedly the dove can see them from 3 miles away is what I was told when I bought mine.... But that's pretty far!

Dove season opened today in Alabama. I went to Swan Creek WMA, and managed to shoot six. It was miserably hot, but you just can't miss opening day!:)

Opening day went down here on Saturday. Enjoys the pictures, brought to you by MikeC, son and Buck Mayo TNT

Their hitting the grill tomorrow night, yea buddy. Hunting season has arrived, thank you Lord.

Awesome pic guys, keep em coming. We went back Saturday. I got ten but it took until 2:00 to get them. They were flying high fast after being shot at all week. Plus, bow season opened here so there were fewer wing hunters out in the fields keeping the birds flying. Time to get ready for whitetails!!!!

Teal season opens here on Saturday morning so dove fields will be empty, shooting should be good for a little while but won't be enough people to keep em moving. I'll post some pix after the hunt.

I'd rather dove hunt than most anything.

Only problem is I have no where to go anymore. I used to hunt on a fellows huge dairy but it has been gone for years.

Nothing like a good shotgun and a day in the cornfields.
