Lately the dove have not been moving, usually opening week is the best around where I live, because there's all the dove hunters stirring them up but after that it kinda dies off

I love dove hunting. I grew up on it from around 8 years old or so. I gotta hit some fields this year.

We had a good opening day.
Several of us gather around the wheat field each year.
My gear. I shot the NEF single 12 this year, and bagged nine birds.
We always gather after the hunt and have a mass bird cleaning. This was the pile after everyone threw in their birds.
Me being the guy with the big knife, my job is to remove the wings and head.

We always used wire dikes to snip the wings off, but anyplace you can use a knife is a plus
