Has any of you guys use dowel pins as balisong tang pins? I have found this at enco and I was considering on using it on my balis

It looks pretty neat because both sides are chamfered.
I could use Dowel Pin Chucking Reamers that is .1230 undersize,
but I do not know if it will be thigh enough to handle the punishment.

The old method I use are tapered pins and press it into the drilled hole as tight as I can then cut it into size.

Just be aware that dowel pins are hardened to about 58 - 60 Rc. Otherwise, proceed.

I was thinking of drilling it first with a size 31 drill bit (.1200 ) then ream it with a 1/8 dowel pin chucking reamer ( .1230 )
