Down right irresponsible with a knife!

We always had to have an electric fence around our garden to keep the critters out. 3 feet of galvanized hardware cloth staked to the gound every foot. Topped with two strands of electricfied wire, one just above the top of the fencing, the second 3 inches above that. We had it on a standard agricultural fence charges so the shock is in pulses. I watched a tiny squirrel climb up the fence, get a heck of a shock, and then run into the woods unharmed, never to return. Critters have enough sense not to go back, even cows. The farmer (me, mom, dad)? No so much. I must have been shocked a hundred times during my youth dealing with it. Quite an exhilerating jolt I must say. Harmless though.

Put one of those around the garden and that'll fix you SIL.

Wow, that's really irresponsible and careless. I've never experienced anyone being that stupid with a knife. I hope I never do.

I had this landlord who lived above me, she had a garden in the back yard. One day I come out and I see her digging with a Ka-Bar, like digging out roots and whatnot. I said how I liked her garden tool and she remarked it had been her grandfather's. Not what I would choose for gardening work but hey.

Haha, I should do that. I take it that they're able to be grown in NC, considering the name.

Yeah, S.C. is where Ed Curry developed them into a stable strain.
I have two plants that are almost as tall as me and they are NO joke.

I used all top end products to get the finest chilies possible. (Those two plants literally cost several hundred dollars) I use all General Organic/Hydroponic nutrients save some Earth Juice bloom booster, they were out of the Gen Organics bloom. I have them in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, in 7 gallon air pots. None of this "Miracle it grew for me." Stuff is terrible.

Anyway, I have been taking the pods to work as I have Way too many. 500+ per plant. And cut one in half at lunch I had two people touch their finger to the pepper, and then their finger to their tounge. One response was it was ridiculous, the other after touching the tounge and a five second wait, said, You gotta be Crapping me! Well he didn't say crap, but you get the idea. Ten minutes later I hear, Thanks Jeff! He rubbed his eye and it put him down, bad.

Because of where I work, I ribbed him hard and said, " What type of suit are you going to file for this one?" We both laughed it off. :)

1 evening in Boy Scouts learning knife safety, and I've never forgotten it.

nice,I was also a Scout, what a great experience it was. There was a badge that you could get for knife safety and you couldn't use a knife when the troop went camping until you got that badge witch was sitting down with a leader explaining all about the knife with is meant for and what its not meant for ect ect even some demoing of proper use. Even then there were rules up at camp like no whiting except by the fire pit.

Or just fence in the garden or shroud it a bit I guess. I would keep the knifes in a drawer or cabinet when guests visit.

There is a reason for "keep out of reach of children [and irresponsible adults....]" :p
*Sigh* it's "knives".

That's the Totin' Chip. And in the troop my son and I were in, every time you violated the rules of using a knife, you got a corner cut off your card. After the third one you lost your card and had to earn it all over again.
