Down time between preheat and aus heat

I broke a coil in my oven after I had done a preheat cycle on some AEB-L. I will not be able to repair it tonight. Can I pick up where I left off and go to the high temp final heat in 24 hours?

Best to temper first if there is a lag in time before going on. It reduces stresses that can build up.

Agreed, best to stress relieve at 500F and then start over.
