I probably would've listed different ones 6 months ago, & probably a different 5 6 months from now, but here goes...

Small classic micarta Seb.
Jim Matthes tanto folder.
Peter Bauchop Shaman.
Spyderco Yojimbo (Bead-blasted & waved).
Northwoods med. Stockman (A BFs knife-stag & 1095 steel).

Well, assuming they have to be different models,

Benchmade M2 710
Microtech M/A Amphibian
Benchmade Mini Ritter Griptillian
Spyderco BG-42 Military
Benchmade 41mc

Those would pretty much meet my desires/needs.

OK I slept on it and I left out two knives/steels that I just love so I'm doing an edit. I really expected this in myself as I was torn.

New Five:
Custom Shop Buck 112 in S30V and Stag
Full size Grip in D2
Endura IV Flat Grind G10 VG10
Devin Thomas Damy Buck 110 in picked bone
BG42 G10 Buck 110

I really like VG10 so the Tenacious had to give way to the Endura. Hey Sal, when you going come out with Tenacious II in sage G10 and VG10? I'm hopping from foot to foot for this upgrade.

I had to have that BG 42 on the list after I thought about it....Lots of good knives not on that list still but that's it for now.

Any second now someone is going to point out that this is a pointless exercise but screw em!

Yea but its very interesting to see what everybody considers their best five. The fact is, for most of us it would be "Oh So Friggin Painful" to actually do this exercise.

Well, this is kind of easy since I now only have 6 folders...of course this list will probably be different in a month:o

Small Classic Micarta Seb
Buck/Mayo Waimea
Emerson CQC14
Strider PT
Strider SnG/Burke Pro-Rockstar----I just traded the Burke for an SnG, but there is a chance the Burke maybe be back, if it doesn't appeal to the new owner too be, either way one of these two knives makes the list.

Now ask this again in a month:D

Dave

That question is irrelevant. I am a knifedevil, the knifegods do not have any power over me. So I keep all the folders I have, thank you.

Kind regards,

Jos

Warren Thomas- M2
De Leeuw- Curly Friction Folder
Gedraitis- Nolock
Crawford- 3.8 Tanto
Boker Trance, Orange
:D

hmmm...

Rat Cutlery RC 4
Emerson CQC 13 (and 7:D)
Benchmade 710 D2
Fallkniven U2
Gerber LMF

I suspect that if I had more Fallkniven knives they would be up there.
Tre Kronor
and the PXL, ooohhh...sweet knife!!!

My Queen Cattleknife, S&M Sowbelly, Victorinox Cadet II, Benchmade 615, and my Spyderco Military at this time.

For me it would be my Benchmade 710, my Queen Mountain Man, my Queen jigged delrin trapper, my mini Dejavoo, and my CRKT M21 02.
