Hi Guys,
Lamont and I have just about finished up the first of 5 prototypes of our collaboration knives. Here she is.

More about that here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523611

D2 steel, interchangeable micarta grips
OAL about 8", Blade length 3.75" with 3.5" sharpened
Various blade coatings and finishes, as well as grip scale colors and materials will be available.

Just need a leather sheath from Treestump Leather, and a kydex sheath from me. Still waiting on the artwork for the maker's mark. Tomorrow we meet with the laser engraver to see what he can do as far as artwork on the grips. So what do you think so far?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott, I think it looks stupendous.

Congratulations on a great design and great execution.

It looks superb!
Personnaly, I'm not in love with thumb ramp, and it seems the edge is too far away from the handle, since you don't have a choil. But this is just my preferences in fixed blades of this size...I must add the execution seems to be flawless  Thanks a lot for sharing

:cool:That does look impressive..

I too will be eagerly awaiting the pricing as well:thumbup::D

Thanks again!
I forgot to add, these will be custom knives when we start making them. If someone wants a finger choil, serrations, etc. all you gotta do is ask!
Thanks,
Scott

Thanks Scott! Best of luck on your new company; I think your offering will be very well received. Looking forward to your web site

Looks good. I too am interested in the upcoming prices and wish you the BEST w/your new company.

Thats interesting. It looks similar to the BRKT Bravo1 but not as long and has a different handle. I like it.

Thanks Everyone!
I just came up from the shop after making this sheath, and taking these pics. This sheath can be worn right side or left, horizontal or vertical, or inside the waistband. I fitted this one with a large Tek-Lok, but a small Tek-Lok is also going to be available.

We had a 190 mile round trip drive up north today to meet with the laser engraver, but was it worth it. There is literally no limit to the amount of clip art this guy has.

Furthermore, a customer can supply their own art (must be a bitmap) and have it engraved on their grips starting at $50.00! Here's a few he did for us today as an example. Like I said, it was well worth the drive. Tomorrow Prototype 1 goes to Chris Kravitt at Treestump Leather for its leather sheath.

What do you think?

When these go up for sale, the knives will run $200 for a standard model: Satin or beadblast finish, leather or kydex sheath. Engraving and blade coatings extra.
Thanks,
Scott

That is AWESOME.....why? because I love options! Great idea. I am anxious to see your all's future ideas!
