Dozen Blems and Huge Savings for 4/15

Sorry, I just picked up an Enep. No $ available.

Wife thinks with two kukris and one of the biggest Enep I could find I am exxagerating.

And now I am eyeing some traditionally-made, working-type bolos. HI kukris, even villagers, seem better fitted but I love these brutes, what can I say.

You know you aint getting away without posting e-nep pics now that we know the story;)

Grats on that Kobra Mr. B. Nice one:thumbup:

After 14 years of service I just got word the company I work for is closing the doors and going belly up. Im on furlough again till we get pink slips for good.

Sorry to hear buddy, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Could always sell some blades...:)

Sorry to hear that man my mom said her company was cutting 300 jobs in her small company also I hope thing pick back up for everyone everywhere

Its really a good thing! I have a next egg ready to hatch. Not an ostrich egg maybe a big chicken. I knew it was coming:D There's a slim possibility a few Chinese companies could buy us out which would even be better for me. If it happens soon Im going to take a few favorite Khuks to the beach with me camping and do some fishing and surfing for a about a month. Havent had any vacation in 4 years so its time.

Business is actually picking up considerably here so I wont have any problem finding new work. After 14 years your resume needs updating etc. Just have to go through them motions again. Damn! I gotta buy some new shoes for interviews:grumpy:

EMS sent on the Gelbu Special (technically sent it yesterday night, but it was late and I forgot to post. My Bad).

Ah! Welcome to the forum Sympa! Hope you enjoy that blade and hang out some here. Let us know how you like it:thumbup:

So sorry to hear that. But way to hmmmm...celebrate? :D Hope everything will work just fine.

I should really find some time to post all the blades...sooner or later...

I like that jkm, the blade's a little pointier than usual.

JKMs are fantastic knives for cutting hard cheeses. Because the spine is so thick you can really push the blade into the cheese with your thumb. Even my wife goes for the jkm if she's cutting up a block of cheese for crackers.

Thanks for the warm welcome. The Gelbu will be my 4th HI blade, but my first actual khukuri (not counting the Pen Knife). Kinda ironic, considering I got into Himalayan Imports specifically to try out a quality khukuri.

As they.say Ndoghouse - when one door closes another one open. Wish you all the best.

If no one is going to pick up that 12 inch AK soon, I will have to add it to the 3 that I already have on the way!
It's absolutely the best companion knife in my opinion. Compact enough to carry and heavy enough for field work.

Thanks Kanano. Ive had plenty of doors open for me since I bought my first Khuk. Matter of fact I just took the hinges off the doors to make it easier:D Im glad to see some new guys getting these deals. I have a Gelbu already but its an 18". I have a Siru and Chitlangi in 21" as well but the Gelbu's thick AK edge and the 21" was hard to pass up. I think Sympa will enjoy that blade immensely. Rhododendron is cool wood and Tirtha is an awesome Kami.
Those 12" AK's make a really fine packing knife. If you need a tough compact knife with all the advantages of a Khukri then thats the one:thumbup: I have one by Bura but its an heirloom and will stay in collector condition. Ill probably snag another to play with someday.

Happy dance for bawanna. I was a bit broken hearted when I realized that when I won the Kobra here it would ship on Thursday and most likely not make the office on Friday, figured I'd have to wait till Monday.
BUT Auntie bless her little pea picking heart through no direction from me sent it to my house, and I was out warshin the cars when the mail man pulled up the driveway, wife also went to town (more happy dance) I thought could it possibly be, lo and behold he hands out a perfect (I mean perfect) triangle box.

Happy dance!!!

I forced myself to finish my car warshin chores before I opened it, that was extremely tough.

It's a beautiful knife, the handle is quite slim and works very well for my hand size. For a kobra it is quite beefy, thick and strong, I would not be hesitant to do medium duty chopping with this bad boy.

I could not find the hole that needed repair that auntie mentioned, guess I'll need my reading glasses. Just some minor handle touching up to make it perfect. Perfect sheath fit, nice and snug and a very nice chakma, well shaped and polished.

Dhan does good work. Nice sunny day here so I gotta get back to chores or face the whip.

I'll post some pics of this beauty later on for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you auntie for about the millionth time, you made for a perfect weekend.

I'm off next week to go watch my youngest graduate Marine Corp basic training. I'll be happy to get back home and have about 8 or 9 days to spend with him before he goes back. Wish they'd let this Kobra on board the plane, haven't flown in 30 years and I surely don't like going south like a sheered sheep, with nothing but my hands and my wits. Hands are semi ok, might be lacking in wits.

Don't worry about that Kobra. Take care of that Son as the time will pass much too quickly for you two. Send the Kobra to me and I'll khukuri sit and your worries will all go up in smoke....

Don't I know it good buddy. Seems like only yesterday he was 7 days old when we went on our annual fishing trip, carrying him around the resort I was like the piper, chicks following me around every where we went.

No it's almost he takes care of me.
