Dozier -- CNC?

Hey Joe, it seems you got alot of feedback but I wanted to put my 2 cents in. I have over 20 dozier blades and 5 are master hunters. The master hunter is my favorite of his knives. It is a tough, beefy blade that fills your hand. I had the same dilema about wanting a full handmade or not and I came to this conclusion. There are 3 things that I think make dozier blades better than most other knives. The design, the AMAZING heat treat on that D2 and those great sheaths. When you get one of the flat ground cnc knives you still get those 3 qualities because the ONLY difference between the two types is where the blade is ground. If your looking for knife to collect then the handmade is the way to go but other than that your getting the same quality and a well made knife that cuts like no other.

Hey Upland:

Thanks for your post.

After everyone's input I feel comfortable buying the Master Hunter from AG Russell (CNC D2 blade). This knife will be used for utility, fishing, and hunting.

But after looking at the great photos a few guys posted, I'm sure I'll eventually collect a couple of the Dozier handmade knives. They sure looked sweet in those photos!

Thanks,

Joe

BTW, Nakano, did I sell my coral handled K-1 to you a few years ago?

Possibly, if you were from Hawaii? It went to a friend. And unfortunately is keeping him company in his resting place. :(
