As to the issue, that's what Kabar does, mon frere, you have a problem with your blade, it will be fixed. JN is a valuable KA-BAR customer, and we want to keep thim that way.

Sure, send me your addy, I'll get you another one on the way out. Kabar knew that fruit roll up micarta they used, draws a Bigfoot out of the woods like a fat kid to a cake party. They should be revamping the fruit rollup micarta with licorice in 2012, so, that should take care of the Bigfoot issue.

No, the licorice micarta is on the handle, and is impossible to dull the edge. BUT, if you grag the edge along on the graham cracker sheath, it WILL dull the edge. Kabar had a bad run of glass reinforced graham cracker, which left the sheath dulling graham cracker sheaths. I just stuff some twizzlers in the my sheath and it fixes the problem.

Just an update: moose did offer me a Phat bob as he said, and I debated on whether or not to accept it. I've never had a Phat Bob because of the price. My thinking was "what can the Phat do that my other Doziers can't?" So I accepted his offer. When it gets here, I'll be posting a review in the Testing & Review sub-forum and linking it to this thread. So if that's getting a free knife, then I'm getting a free knife.

I've also acquired some more Doziers... another Spear Point and a pink 4062 that I plan on doing a blade swap to. I actually found a place that has the D2 Dozier folders in stock still, and ordered one from them. Not Dozier, but my third Kabar Kukri arrived yesterday. It's going to a servicemember in Afghanistan later today.

I was a Gold Member for two years here, up until last year. My credit card expired and I simply haven't renewed it. I throw myself on the mercy of the Forum and beg their forgiveness. If not, then I shall commit seppuku. Everything is true except for the last part. I don't have the proper kaishakunin to commit seppuku.
