Escalating house renovation costs have forced me to sell two of my all-time favorite folders.
Firstly as very nice slip-joint by Ken Coates
Blade and spring are ATS 34, Cryo Quenched, Rc 62, 3/32" stock
Frame is milled from 416 ss. Liners and bolsters integral
Handle material is Green Linen Base Micarta. Oval shield is pinned
Blade is hollow ground, 600 grit hand finish and is razor sharp
Closed 4", open 7 1/4"
Flush in open, closed, and half stop positions
About 5 on the pull open scale
Never carried or used.
SOLD
Secondly the "holy grail" of folders.
Large Dozier folding hunter.
4 1/2" closed with a D2 blade around the 3 1/2" mark.
Handle scales and back-spacer is well figured, stabilised, Desert Ironwood.
This knife is very close to mint.
The only reason I do not list it as such, is because I have carried it a few times, sharpened a few pencils and opened some envelopes with it.
It still has the original Dozier edge and is nice an sharp.
SOLD shipped.
