Dozier knives

I love the Master Hunter with Red scales.

Post some pics when you have the chance.

Thanks.

I understand the new ones are stamped differently and made by Dan and not Bob. Is that true?

If I'm not mistaken, the folders are made by Bob, the fixed blades are made by Bob and Dan. Your older ones may have been made by Dozier or Tom Krein or both. I think the different stamp you're referring to is on the "Arkansas Knives" models on which the production is partly outsourced.

STR, Dan made the fillet blade above and I wouldn't have known it if he didn't tell me.
It is that nice.

The knives made in this shop and sold by us are marked Arkansas made Dozier. We have made knives marked Arkansas knives Dozier for A. G. Russell but these are not sold from this shop. They are also machine ground, after being heat treated by this shop. They are then finished by this shop and put in one of our KYDEX sheathes. We are not sure if we will make any more of these.
Dan does most of the grinding on Ar. made knives but we all work in this shop. I grind all the mirror polished knives and the folders. Dan is doing a little training on the folders when we have time. All the knives made here are marked Dozier.
When Ton was here, he worked on most of the knives with me doing most of the finish grinding
Dozier knives are a heck of a deal.

Thanks Bob for clearing that up for me. You don't have to tell me what a deal you offer us. I love your work and really plan to have one of your folders one day.

Thomason, that stag Dozier is perhaps the nicest looking one I've seen to date. Just beautiful IMO. Thanks for sharing that. That is an awesome sheath too Paul. Great job there.
