Dozier owners - suggestions for my knife, please.

That ivory is nice, but the Dozier I've got the hots for is that STAG handled K4 that gets flashed by on occasion here! WOW! What a beautiful knife. Pic please?

At the NY show, the Doziers had a stag pro guide :D
Also assorted fancy woods. Don't think that micarta is all he uses.
Do I see a group photo coming up? ;)

The blade comes in at 3 7/8", just under the legal NYC limit... that is, if you don't consider the sharpened false edge. ;)

That is beautiful! I love the way the ivory micarta looks.

At 5-1/2", mine is right at the legal limit for Texas. I left the false edge unsharpened to stay legal too, although I do like double-edges.

If Bob Q's model doesn't have a name, I suggest 'Steroid Six"
Now if it only had white micarta...

I like the name, although I've always thought of it as the Texas Six. :)

I love white micarta too, but with this one I wanted something that would be less conspicuous for carry. I think the dark green is attractive, low-profile, and less intimidating than plain black.

My favorite dress-up blade is a Benchmade 850 in white micarta with rainbow anodized titanium bolsters. I got that to wear at my sister's wedding.

Sounds like a plan, Ebbtide. It's a lot easier to slip a Model 6 IWB than it is a Sandbar Bowie. ;) That reminds me, we should bug Remster about the NY show pix.

Check out the Yukon Pro Skinner on AG Russell's website. I've owned mine for many years and have used it on many, many hunts and camping trips. It has processed game as small and delicate as quail & squirrel, and as large and tough as elk & moose.

It has a sharp, pointy tip that is just the ticket for delicate caping on game animals (and removing splinters). It also has enough belly to make it a wonderful skinning knife. IMHO it has the perfect shape and size for a personal hunting knife. Like all of Bob's knives it is razor sharp, and it stays that way longer than any other knife I have ever used.

You can't go wrong with any of Bob'd knives.
