I would appreciate any input on this knife from past or present owners of either the larger one or smaller one. I am interested in your general impressions about carrying and using the knife. Does the tab stop mechanism make for a less smooth action than other folders you have experience with?

Also, if you know how much does your knife weigh?

TIA

I've had two of the large trappers and they are quite good. The tab-stop mechanism is a very good design and the action is as slick as a normal linerlock would be. It does have the thickest titanium liners I've ever seen on a linerlock! They were close to .100" thick. The G-10 handles really gave a great grip and the high grind on the D2 is easily the sharpest knife I have ever received from a maker. It was made to slice and keep on slicing. Weight on the large is around 5 ounces. It feels good in the hand because it does have a little weight to it, but not heavy since it is only 5 ounces. Add a pocket clip and you have an EXCELLENT utility knife.......get one with wood instead of G-10 and you have a beautiful utility knife. Would also make a great defensive knife if it happens to be the one in your pocket during a time of need.
