For what it is worth, I also have both. I still have both and I can't say that there is a difference other than looks. The steel is identical make and both are heat treated well.They get scary sharp and hold up longer than I use it most of the time...you're not wrong either way....Herb
If you're considering some others as well, I'll throw in a nomination for the Kershaw CQC-5K. It's not a flipper, but it does have a wave opening device (and thumb disc). The ergos on it are excellent as well.
