I would like to get a Dozier knife for field dressing deer. What is the best model for this purpose? Thanks, Bob

In my opion it is the Yukon Pro Skinner. It has enough point for delicately caping trophies, and enough belly to easily skin and separate hides from meat. The perfect blade shape for field dressing game of all sorts and sizes!

I had used mine for several years and I am still in awe of its capabilities. It stays sharp for an unbelievably long time... it will completely field dress, skin and quarter several deer without resharpening.

Bob makes a fine knife, and it is an exceptional value. It is the standard by which I judge all hunting knives.

For strictly field dressing, I'd go with the Straight Hunter. Great design, outstanding D2, perfect sheath-what more could you want?

Bob Dozier is very knowledgeable and a really nice guy. I would get in touch with him and explain exactly what I want to do and how I do it, and ask him for his advice.
