Dozier Wilderness?

Have you had the opportunity to check one out in person? I think once you held one in your hand you'll make up your mind pretty fast.

Nope -- and I bet you're right.

I bought the Bowie. I may STILL wind up with a PGK as well...

In doing an unrelated search, I see you have been considering a PGK for quite a long time. If you find your way near Parker give me a shout. I'll be happy to let you check out my PGK. This way you can get one and do away with your agony. It's obvious you won't be happy until you own one. :D

By the way, enjoy that bowie. It looks like a beauty, too.....

I keep expecting to run into one at a gun-show.

The "other" problem is that I'm tempted to go all-out with a PGK -- order directly from Bob, with a left-hand Wilderness sheath and desert-ironwood scales.

That bumps the price up, and the wait-time up.

Now I've suddenly got a one-of-a-kind beauty and I'll be right back to having a knife too nice (and expensive) to "use"...

:-)

I know what you mean. Been going through some of the same pain. Last month I decided to say "the hell with it" and ordered a stag handled Wilderness from Bob. He is up to an 11 month wait, but I know it will be worth it. I will take very good care of this knife, but will use it in the field.

Mike,

Your new blade is awsome, perfect size for camp.I use a Siegle utility for camp that has a blade just under 5 inches,it cuts very well and I wouldnt hesitate to use it hard if need be.
I think the new blade you got will handle small chores very well and be up to the task for some of the big ones.

Congrats on your new blade.
