Dozier

I only have one right now but I really like it and carry it frequently, it is the K-7.

well I just gotmy wilderness model in with 4in blade so that would be it for me. Which ever u go with your going to love it. Good luck and post pics as soon as you get one.

My personal fav of Bob's is his Yukon Pro Skinner. Mine is over 10 years old and is still my favorite hunting/camping/survival fixed blade knife of all time.

I use a Yukon Skinner with desert ironwood handle for hunting. The Dozier I use for general applications is about a 4" clip point with green micarta grip.

I have a master hunter with desert ironwood handle. There is no downside to this knife as it is very comfortable, well built, easy to keep sharp, holds an edge forever, and great looking.

Dozier knives are one of the best values out there.

I used to be really high on the value aspect. These days I think that the Doziers are a fair value but the prices have gone up a lot from when I bought mine. For knives that are well made but relatively simple, I don't feel they are priced especially low. However, you definitely get a good knife for your money so I would never argue that they aren't a fair value.

I've been using my Master Skinner (from AG Russell) since the early 1990s.
Great knife indeed!

Have added a few other Doziers to the collection through the years, but it's that Master Skinner with the 'coral rucarta' handle that I use the most.

Regards,
Mike

I only own one (Delta Traveler). I don't carry it often, but I should... it's a real fine knife.

K-1 General Utility. Bought in the mid 1990s. It's been a good knife for me. Despite what I've read from others, I've been satisfied with the D2 steel.

Another vote for the Delta Traveler. Currently my favorite fixed blade. (No, I don't baton red oak logs with it....)

Here's a photo of one of my favorite Dozier's:

Both the Delta and Arkansas Traveler are great knives, the Pro Guide is awesome as well.

Wilderness, I ordered one just reading one of Dan Schectmans articles in Backwoodsman. Glad I did. I also had a Delta Traveler, great knife, but I traded it.

My Straight Personal and my PGK have served me well.

Big Mike has REALLY messed me up with his extra belly Wilderness and his wide blade fillet!
I want one of those two, but I can not make up my mind which one to order!
Either will have the Wilderness sheath, that is certain!

this might be a tall order, but I'd love to see a photo of the following side-by-side for scale:

-Master Hunter
-Columbia River Skinner
-Delta Traveller
-Master Skinner

I am really trying to decide between these four, I am leaning toward the Columbia River Skinner or the Master Hunter

That does it.
Wide blade fillet this year...
Extra belly Wilderness in 2010!

After my subsequent divorce (if the settlement does not kill me) it's a Housy Hunter! ;-)

Thanks for the pics Big Mike!
