Hi all,

I am looking for a small high quality handsaw to make fine cuts. I would like to purchase a traditional Japanese hand tool. Are there any sources out there beyond what shows up on the first page or two of google?

A source for just a saw blade straight from Japan would be great.

Depending on your definition of "fine cuts" and budget a ryoba may be more versatile and just as good.

IIRC, Woodcraft sells them. Last year I bought four at an estate sale...for $10 total.

Thanks all , I got a saw and files to sharpen it from toolsfromjapan.com , I also came across the real deal handmade saws using white#1 going for around 300-400$ , all completely handmade, very cool!
