174 MM long ( 6 7/8" ), 3/16" thick, 3 1/8" cutting edge, Brass pins and lanyard hole, Antique Ivory micarta handle, Made from a Farriers rasp, Hollow ground, tempered approx. 55-57rc. That's a really cool idea...and just earlier today I was looking at some factory knives and thinking about how much I like white micarta. I don't really know why...I just do.

These are American made files mostly, I use what the Farriers give me but there's a couple from Austria... The steel is 1085-1095 Heattreated to mid 60's rc. so I temper 'em down to 57-59rc. Still tough and durable but not brittle...

Very nice. I like how one side of the blade (farrier's rasp) is so different from the other side as it adds character.
 
I know what you mean... I made 100's of knives, and when I go to the shows, people seem to like these the best!!
