This is awesome! I have a numbered H.E.S.T. , so now I need to get a number H.E.S.T. Folder!

This is great timing, as I've been in the market for a heavy-duty folder for a couple of weeks , but haven't pulled the pin yet. Now I know what I want to get, even though I haven't seen it yet.
That's not crazy... that's confidence. :)

We will do our best to answer all these questions. But first of all the most important one. The DPx H•E•S•T/F comes with a unconditional, no questions asked guarantee for registered owners.

The DPx family is a small group of enthusiasts, many of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting so its important that the product must serve the needs of the customer. That also means the realities of the paycheck. You will be very surprised (happily) when you see the price for a hand and small machine-works made small batch knife without stinting on any aspect of durability or quality.

By the end of this week we should have finalized pricing, final design and I think you will be surprised at what our international team has put together for you. It's going to be in that sweet spot between the "brag blades" and the "high end sorta likes":)) You have seen what Lion Steel has done in their high-end folder and we are taking it further with a totally fresh approach and design to tough folders.

We will be creating a website just to follow the creation, thinking, design and enthusiasts comments at www.DPxGear.com and will keep the Bladeforums up to speed as well. You will appreciate the attention to detail and I am stoked as well.. since I need a good folder!

The initial numbered and signed run will be only 250 with a small enthusiast run to be sold through ESEE's dealer network. Jeff has been pinging the network and we have had great response. Your comments are gratifying because that's what makes our products unique, real world use, constant improvement from hard core users and no concessions made to mass marketing or short cuts.

OK enough hype.

Any idea as to when the trickle down to the dealer network will start? Definitely stoked about this. I had been looking at heavy folders before but after talking to you about it at blade all that has been on hold waiting for this moment. Now...if I could just hire you to teach me how to use the new Nikon I'd be good..........

We should have warranty and pricing worked out by the end of the week, as well as the DPx web site. I can assure you the warranty will be the BEST in the industry though ;)

Tomso will have final photo renderings by the end of the week also and we will get them posted up.

Can't wait. But it would be nice if you put the important info like pricing and dates ect. in the first post if it's not to much trouble. :D Or neve post because I think this thread is gonna get pretty big

I'm probably going to get one, but I'll be really hesitant to carry it because I have lost two folders in my life time and was sick about it each time. I couldn't even imagine what I'd feel like if I lost a $200+ folder:eek:

Now this is news. As handy as the small fixed blades like the HEST are, most of us actually carry folders for everyday use. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

All, please read Robert's first post in this thread since I edited (added) some information in that post about who has already pre-ordered and how the limited edition models will be sold.
