Also, what am I looking to clear up? I thought a list would be a good idea for people looking to trade for the number they want. Like that has never f*cking happened before. :yawn: I couldn't care less what number I have, but some people might.

I don't think anyone necessarily is saying that the list is a bad idea it's just there seem to be a lot of people who have no idea what numbers they got or even if they got one at all. Some people seem to have multiples ordered but don't really know and others may not have gotten anything but just aren't sure. Therefore asking people to post what number they got isn't that simple of a proposition.

People haven't been asking for a list or emails because they want to trade number but simply to sort out what is being held in their name if anything at all. If you go back through the posts in the various threads there are people claiming to possibly have the same number as someone else who isn't completely sure.

Hence-
2. You are going to ask the same confused people asking for a list to be created to tell you what they believe they have.

We will send out a confirmation for the knives and number to each person who reserved a number knife.

If there are folks who don't want a knife, or there was a mistake we will put those numbers up on the site and let you know here.

When we are happy with the protos, tolerances, look, finish etc. We well post pics and ask those folks to send in payment for the knife they ordered. according to the specs. We will also finalize specs, materials, finish, accessories and goodies. Any folks who fall by the wayside, will have their numbers put back on the list.

While all this wonderfulness goes on you will get updates, photos, interesting backgrounders etc sent to your email address.

When the knife ships we will double check the delivery address and make sure it gets to you as soon as possible.

If you did not get a first run, numbered version then you would be wise to preorder yours through the dealer list at www.dpxgear.com or www.eseeknives.com.

Now I have to back to work...

PS Keep in mind I am just as excited as you are about getting my folder!

Please forgive me if this was answered elsewhere. I looked around a bit but I wasn't able to find an answer.

Will pre-orders guarantee that a knife will be available once they're released, or is it going to be a limited run no matter what? My experience with other pre-order systems has been pretty bad. In the past I've paid for a product ahead of time but I had to wait until the second production run to get my product (which took another 3-4 months).

Basically, I really want one of these knives and I would like to pre-order but I do want to see the actual prototypes and their finalized specs before placing that order. I'm just curious whether or not I'll be able to get a knife on the first run if I pre-order in September or October.

Not sure about others, but their right-handed pre-order is filled. I am not sure other sites say the same or not, but if you want to see the proto, you will likely have to wait. There is only 400(?) on the first production run, I believe.

Wow, thanks for the info. So... anybody know a dealer that is still taking pre-orders for the first run :) I think I want this knife enough to take a chance, if there is still a chance to take!

I was just hoping maybe someone was "in the know" about which dealer may have some available.
