DPX HEST 2 broken clip… replacement?

Greetings,

Total NEWB here… just trying to find a replacement clip for my DPX HEST 2. It was getting a little loose, I removed it, thinking I'd just bend it back into place -- well, the hardened, brittle clip just snapped right there at the right angle -- duh, I know… for some reason, I thought I could just bend it back a little…
Anyhow, I tried DPX's site -- couldn't get anything to load, tried calling them -- it just rang and rang, couldn't even leave a message. Are they still open for business?


Either way, does anyone know where I can find a replacement clip for this knife?

Quit being so impatient .....DPX is the only place call again at another time and remember they may be taking an additional day off..
 
Did you try emailing them? I have found you usually get a faster response that way. Good luck
 
Weird... ok, well thanks gentlemen. I wouldn't normally be so "impatient", but when their site wouldn't load, and the # I called just rang indefinitely with no way to leave a message, I thought it was at least cause for speculation as to whether they were still in business… hence, a post to the experts here on the blade forums. I'm glad I posted, despite the abrupt candor of certain participants (just like every forum I've ever visited)

Just relax. Being a new year, they might be on vacation or you have a bad connection.
That said, I dislike pocket clips. Try carrying yours without one and see what you think.
 
Thanks again gentlemen. I was able to load the page using Google Chrome (the issue is with Safari and Firefox)... I ordered a new clip, which should be showing up today.

I've been carrying it around without the clip (it does still have the short lanyard attached) but my pockets are too deep (place joke here)... I like the greater accessibility the clip affords. Also, the clip holds the blade in the correct (known) position for quick deployment.
Anyhow, thanks again... great forum.
