what is the deal with their blade length in their folders.
Every site lists some different length.
For the 2.0, they listed 3.67"
When I emailed them directly, they said it's actually measured from the tang.
But the cutting part is 3.1".

So do they make a blade length larger than ~3"?

I really need an education here. My understanding was in folders, blade length is measured from the edge of handle to tip of blade.

Per American Knife and Tool Institute (AKTI): "Where a statute, regulation or ordinance refers to knife blade length, the measurement shall be the straight line extending from the tip of the blade to the forward-most aspect of the hilt or handle."

Ok. That is what my understanding was too. So where does this 3.67" from tang come in??
Again, pardon my ignorance but what is the tang in a folding knife?

"I have double-checked the information for you and 3.67 inches is the full length from blade tip to tang, 3.15 inches is the cutting length." Direct quote.

Direct quote by whom? PM/email if not a BF dealer.

I emailed you. I'm not here to bash anyone. Just wanted to see if the confusion was due to my lack of understanding or if it was universal.

There are some companies that still measure a folding knife blade from the tip to the lock face. Then install the blade in the handle.

I checked the DPx website and a few of the HEST/F blade lengths were listed as 3.1"-3.15". I did not see 3.67" so whoever quoted you 3.67" is wrong. Perhaps you can return it if the blade length is too short for you.

Blade length is really 3.25". Check BladeHQ for good specs since they measure each knife themselves.
