Looking to get a small tough folder. I'm leaning towards the HEST since it has more point but the F3 is getting good reviews. Your opinions, humble or otherwise are welcome.
I have a few HESTs and have seen the Boker. I'd go with the HEST for a proven, rugged knife. It has one of the strongest tips around.
The HEST has a few handy extra features too...like Roto-Lok and waved opening via the bottle opener. I've found the wire strippers handy too, but not necessarily for what they were designed for. The glass breaker is a very good one too. Good selection of steels for the HEST too...at least there used to be.
EDIT: And as Showtime reminded me below, the HEST is made by LionSteel. You could do a lot worse.
I would go for the HEST just because the Boker is made in China.
Not holding either, I would just assume the knife made in Italy is better.
Could be completely wrong though. For a little more you can pick up the Viper Odino, and for a slightly more than that get the Viper Kyomi. Both Jesper Voxnae designs
