I really like everything about the HEST except the pointed pommel, oh well maybe it will grow on me as I continue to stare at pics of it.
I was skeptical too....until I held it. It really locks your hand in. ALSO, I was in the hotel last night when I got it and actually used it as a flathead screwdriver, it worked flawlessly. Plus, now I have a place to store my wee......I mean compass.![]()
WOW its bigger than I thought compared to the Izula
its more like the size of the RC-3 to be honest. I held them together yesterday.
HW, I'm not sure what I would say is more comfortable, to be honest, the Izula paracord wrap gives it more cushion, but...if I had to choose I would say the HEST
Thanks for the photos. Agree the top view with an Izula was great to see the thickness.
Who makes the small tool you have in the photos (pry, opener, screw driver, etc) ?
I figured it would be more roomier than the Izula, but once I remembered that you could take the handles completely off I was thinking about if I get one putting a para-cord wrap on it.
dude I fit an entire 4 gig flash drive in that thing. It's got tons of room.
I love everything about it except the scales. Way to small, (IMHO, I really prefer full handles) and even T.K.C. idea was smaller than what I hoped for. What I would like is something like this, but I'm thinking paracord would look/work really nicely as well.

did you hold it yet? When it's in your hand, the micarta covers your entire palm anyway. You don't even notice it's not a full slab
It's not the palm that's the source of discomfort, it the forefinger area that I prefer to have scales on. I always get a hot spot on my index finger from non full to the ricaso or "choiled" handles. (Although, I like blade choils? Strange...) Probably because I have pretty small hands. (Sz 7 ring)
