DPx Pack Numbers???

Ok, do we have any like over at ESEE? I'm asking first, so I want number #1! Should we be called a Pack? How about DPxERs?
 
Tattoo, sounds like a good contest thread . . . Post your best choice of a name for Mr. Young's fans, patch #1 goes to the best name chosen by Mr. Young. Then the fun starts all over again when the debate starts on what the patch should look like . . . :D

Lol, with the DPx line of thinking I would expect something more like a secret society with no-one really knowing who's in or who's out or even who's who :)
 
Dang, well I didn't know about the tribe. Nobody sent me the memo. So I'm going to be the self proclaimed DPxER #1 :)

I already have about 20 tattoos, so those guys are just newbies. :) I do still have to add an ESEE and DPx tat to the collection. In due time.
 
I think it's the dpxgear island isn't it ?? :) I know one person who isn't a native anymore.

That's why I'll take 44 or 357.

Instead of numbers, we could have DPx Gear Island tribal names, sort of like the Busse HOGs do. I want to be "Three Trails in the Sand." :D
 
You've got guys tattooing Mr DP on their arms...I think DPx has surpassed "numbers"...if you want part of the "crew", I think you'll need to go under the needle:D
 
We are not a "pack". Packs are for dogs and angry crowds. We are a tribe. Each person has their own unique place, interface, personality and purpose that ultimately makes up the whole. More importantly I am not "number 1" or any number for that matter. I sell all limited edition numbers and actually retain my old boys school number (only because I can remember it!)

Folks who know me from the Black Flag Cafe know that I do not dictate the shape, opinions and direction of people who are interested in what I do. It is up to them to sort out their relationship. I lead by doing. Nobody follows, they simple aspire to a higher form of enlightenment through experience.

All the moderators at the Flag are volunteers, they are rarely if ever banned and if one individual abuses that freedom, all vote on expelling that person. Oftentimes that person is invited back if they see the error of their ways. With DPx Gear I will develop products and I will be working with people to develop products and of course your opinions and suggestions are part of developing products. After all it is you who use and buy them. Ergo the tribe. Each person will have different opinions, uses and budgets so how could one knife fit all? How could a number reflect a person's relationship or hierarchy in an every changing environment?

I think being a owner/user/participant says pretty much all you need to know :)

I create products that I wish I had and if people agree that's great, they vote with their wallets and enthusiasm. I will always listen carefully to ideas and input and "we" will create many new and exciting products together. I am only one part of the process.
 
So there you have it folks. The man has spoken. No numbers are needed here. We are a tribe. Some of you may actually be the village idiot, but we are nonetheless a tribe. :) I look forward to much time with all of you in the bush and wherever our travels take us!
 
Look, I don't care what anybody says. I'm still "Three Trails in the Sand." :p
