Dr. Hannibal Lector

My Dear Friends,

:thumbup: just had a smooth transaction with the good doctor and wanted to pst up on it.

TonyDaHose was equally wonderful to deal with, and I hope to enjoy more transactions with him in the future!

Just be careful if he wants to have you for dinner.

Salem, WV? You are within two hours' drive of my residence, my friend. Care to meet up sometime? LOL!

Really - great member name - what's the inspiration, or is that (gasp!) your real name?

thx - cpr

I discovered Spyderco Knives after reading "Hannibal" by Thomas Harris; the Spyderco Harpy being mentioned by name in the book piqued my curiosity and I ordered one through the shop where I worked. I became instantly hooked on Spyderco Knives!

I joined the Spyderco forums shortly thereafter, and since it was "Hannibal" that brought me to them I decided to use that for a forum ID.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to go back and read the series again - the only knife I remember was the tile (linoleum) knife Lecter gutted Will Graham with. Lecter's a name that no one alive in the 1990's will ever forget.

thx - cpr

ps - now that you mention it, "Silence of the Lambs" was the reason I tried Chianti. I was too unsophisticated to know what I was drinking.
