I would appreciate suggestions about the 1000 grit Dragon Stone. Is it approppriate for fast cutting and a fine edge?
Any commentscare welcome
Thanks

I don't know what Dragon Stone is, but 1000 grit isn't going to be a "fast cutter". That is a finishing & polishing grit.

It is a waterstone brand; described as made form fused particles of Green Carbide abrasives. I saw them in the Japan woodworker catalogue on 700 grit, 1000 and 1200.
The 1000 grit is described as a compromise between fast cutting and a fine edge; which made curious
