Dragonfly clip options

Alright, so I decided in addition to my various giant spydercos, I need just one that's legal inside Chicago... So I'm going to buy a dragonfly. I've narrowed it down to the SS w/ ATS-55 or White FRN w/ VG-10. What's giving me trouble is the molded clip vs metal clip. How does the molded clip fare? I'd buy the white one if it had a metal clip immediately.

So have the FRN models, although there are still a bunch of the old ones out there.

My FRN clips have held up quite well, but the Dragonfly is small enough that I seldom carry it clipped.

It seems like being able to bend the metal clips to make them tighter is important... Or does the FRN just not get more loose w/ time like their metal counterparts.

If I remember correctly there was a fg g10 dragonfly prototype at SHOT.

I'm not a fan of clips in general, and particularly dislike the FRN ones because they can neither be removed nor set up for left hand carry. However, if you have no similar objections to them, an FRN clip can't get bent like metal can, so there's far less need to bend it back to its original shape after it snags on something.

I've not had any trouble at all with the molded in FRN clip on my Dragonfly. It doesn't get carried quite every day, but does find its way into my pocket fairly frequently. It hasn't loosened up at all as far as I can tell. I have heard of them getting broken off, but I don't think that's too common.

apparently there's going to be a G10 Dfly with VG10 and jimping on the top of the blade as well as a jimped choil coming out sometime in the future. I would assume that it would have a normal clip. Kind of like the Byrd Robin G10.
