Just finished a new model yesterday (and I'm keeping it, so don't even ask, unless you have a small Sebenza or Umfaan you want to give up!

Okay, to see the knife, you need to copy the URL I have below and put it in the address bar of your browser to see it. Geocities doesn't allow links to pics anymore.

The knife is about 6" OAL with around a 2.5" blade. It is 1/8" 1084 with a convex grind and a bit of a swedge. First swedge I've done. I wish I had a digital camera, but best I can do is a drawing. I'm mainly interested in comments on the shape. I started it out as a cross between a shrunken Wegner blade and a Sean Perkins handle, but the blade ended up looking like a Weehawk, IMO. I call it a Snoopy knife because the blade looks like Snoopy! The choil is his ears, the hump on top his eyes/brow, and the blade itself his nose! Anyway, I decked it out with a curvy G-10 handle and black Micarta pins and I really like the feel of it overall. Ever see anything like this?

The knife fits my hand like a glove, and the small blade is very controllable. I cut it out of 1" wide stock, so it is light, too. I prefer small handles like this one and it works really well. If I knew anything about self defense, which I don't I think I would think this has a lot of potential. All I have to do now is make a sheath and it's ready for whatever I throw at it! Anyone know what the Weehawk blade excels at? I see it on Balisongs only, and this is the first one I have seen in a fixed blade format. I actually was perusing Bladeart and Knifeart last night and spotted something that looks a lot like this, which is weird because I didn't see it until after this knife was done. Anyway, comments are always welcome, and if you are interested in asking about getting one for yourself, don't even post it here so I can keep this thread HERE and not in the for sale forums!

Chiro,
very interesting design. I like the blade shape, but I am surprised that there is not more width at the butt end of the handle. How does it feel in your hand?

Feels GREAT! Best handle I;ve done to date, actually. Works really nicely for reverse grip, too. The scales are 1/8" thick and not thinned out too much on the end, so overall the thickness makes up for a bit of lack in width. The handle is actually slimmer than the picture shows, but it fits my hand perfectly. I have fairly small hands, keep in mind. The handle locks nicely into my hand and the curve sort of juts the point of the knife forward...a bit of a drop, but not a lot since the dimensions of the stock were pretty constraining. If someone gets really interested to see this thing and review it, I could see myself sending it to them for a few days...

Well, I figured you weren't using it right now, so why not?
Of course, the temper lines look fabulous painted on in Illustrator and Photoshop. If you want to see some of the other stuff, in actual real pictures, I set up a page with pics and descriptions. Most of it is terribly embarrassing, but who cares?
